Asterisk Women’s Health is working to backfill 500 years of missing non-reproductive health data. In the 1970s, women of reproductive age were banned from clinical trials. It wasn’t until 1993 that it was mandated that women be included in trials, though to this day many trials still exclude women due to their ‘complex menstrual cycle.’
Asterisk leverages the power of Web3 to rapidly catch up to the massive data gaps left by these mandates and protect the privacy of our participants. Our aim is to provide researchers with the first female-specific data pools for female-biased disorders while providing women the ability to vote on their healthcare for the first time in history.
